Ever since Alwi hit the one-year old mark he has refused to nurse during the day. Alwi is improving much in terms of walking, and it was only yesterday that I saw him walking a few steps backwards. Today marks our second wedding anniversary. We were wed on the 8th of August 2008 - a very clever date (and hopefully a very auspucious one might I add). I was tossing between a lion-themed cake (also known as a jungle safari cake) or a sea-themed cake... no such thing as Thomas the train or Dora the Explorer or Elmo cake this time because Alwi hasn't developed any associations with them yet. We are tired. KNACKERED, in fact. We held Alwi's first birthday bash at home today and it was, to put it simply, a big success. I was very happy by the fact that people came anyway so it was all good. Alwi had a great big fun day too.
